Icona in Luce: Vespa Enters Contemporary Art

Three luminous sculptural works by Dino Bruscino with artistic contribution by Marco Lodola

On April 29, 2026, at the Galleria Deodato Arte, Bruscino Design unveiled Icona in Luce, a project marking a significant evolution in the artistic reinterpretation of the Vespa.

At the center of the event were three unique luminous sculptures from the Speciart Collection, signed by Dino Bruscino, in which the iconic scooter is freed from its original function to become pure form, expressive surface, and a collectible object. Vespa is thus transformed into a contemporary artistic language, suspended between art and design.

The project stems from Bruscino’s vision, developed through artisanal craftsmanship, material research, and meticulous attention to detail, pushing Vespa beyond the boundaries of customization.

This research is further enriched by the artistic contribution of Marco Lodola, whose signature use of light introduces it as a structural element: not decoration, but an integral part of the work, capable of defining volumes, enhancing lines, and transforming the sculptures into striking сценographic presences.

Icona in Luce arrives at a symbolic moment: in 2026, Vespa celebrates its 80th anniversary, confirming its status as one of the most recognizable icons of Italian design and lifestyle worldwide. From a means of mobility to a global cultural symbol, it continues to evolve through new forms of expression.

The three works represent a synthesis of craftsmanship and innovation: entirely handmade processes, selected materials, and meticulous attention to detail give life to unique pieces intended for an international audience of collectors and art and design enthusiasts.

With Icona in Luce, Bruscino Design consolidates its evolutionary path, moving beyond customization into the realm of contemporary art. A project that transforms a popular icon into a luminous sculpture—rare, exclusive, and capable of merging memory, innovation, and vision.
